Keukenhof, called the garden of Europe, is the largest flower garden of the world and, probably, the most beautiful. Located few kilometers away from Amsterdam, in Lisse, Keukenhof means “Kitchen Garden” as it is home to more than 7 million flowers (mostly tulips)!
The Amsterdam tulips and flowers festival is open every year but only during eight weeks. The site is very famous and popular worldwide, it welcomes 800,000 visitors annually. Indeed, I was very surprised to see so many tourist from all around the world.
The best moment to go is probably a sunny day so you can chill and picnic in the park…
The Netherlands are well-known for their tulips fields. In Lisse, you can admire all of them when cycling around.

The garden opens annually for a short time, usually from the end of March to mid-May.
